Cut & Composition

Al Tawareg is a fine cut tobacco which, thanks to a honey composition, is extremely sticky. You’ll want to break it apart in a kitchen bowl before packing it into your hookah bowl. Al Tawareg uses honey in greater proportions than other similar tobacco brands. You should not be surprised if your used tobacco is more difficult to clean out of the bowl when you’re done smoking.

The Experience

Al Tawareg Beer took about 10 minutes to begin smoking. The richest flavor and smoke came after about fifteen minutes of smoking. The smoke was sufficient, but not particularly impressive in volume. The tobacco, unlike many other brands, is very resilient to heat, causing it to take longer to start up, but also making it easier to manage. The session lasted about an hour and ten minutes before the smoke and flavor died out.

The Flavor

Al Tawareg Beer is strikingly realistic. Though it’s light, it does taste very much like beer. To be more specific, the taste is similar to that of an ambiguous light-beer, like Bud Lite or Miller Lite. Under the microscope, the flavor appears to be a clever use of honey flavoring.

The Insight

Al Tawareg’s Beer is most likely more of a novelty than a daily smoker for most people. Though it’s pleasant, it’s unmistakably beer-flavored. While some people do love the taste of beer, drinking a lite beer often has other objectives in mind—ones that can’t be accomplished with a hookah tobacco. It should also be noted, that this flavor will leave a subtle smell in the room you use to smoke. If you frequented college dorm parties, you’ll recognize the smell as the ‘morning after a lot of beer pong’. Fear not, however, the lingering smell will fade quickly.

Who Should Try This Flavor

If you like Lite beer, you’ll probably like this. Also fans of unconventional tobacco flavors will get a kick out of this one. Fans of honey flavors may also take kindly to this unique use.
