Social Smoke Tobacco Voltage Flovor Rating

[Rating:4.5/5]

Based on: Flavor: 5/5, Smoke, 4.5/5, Resilience: 4/5, Longevity:

Cut & Composition

Social Smoke Voltage is a medium cut, slimy tobacco with a few small stems, none of which have been found disruptive to the packing process.

Price & Quantities Available

  • 100g – $10.95
  • 250g – $20.95
  • 1kg – $69.95

The Experience

Voltage produced flavor from the very first draw. Within the three or four following draws, the bowl began producing smoke and within 10 minutes, the smoke was at its thickest and the flavor at its richest. Voltage does a good job with minor changes in heat, but if too much heat is applied, the flavor will shift slightly and produce a mild peanut taste. Reducing the heat will restore the intended flavor. The session lasted about an hour and 20 minutes.

The Flavor

Officially, Social Smoke describes Voltage as a blend of Watermelon and Lemon, with a hint of Amaretto sweet almond flavoring. When examined closely, the lemon and watermelon can be distinguished, though the almond is almost totally invisible. In real world smoking, without any clues to the intended flavor, the taste is very much like a sweet blend of mild lemon and jasmine.

The Insight

Jasmine and Lemon is one of my favorite shisha blends, and though officially that is not what Voltage is, it does taste an awful lot like it. It’s sweet, but mild and calming and goes great with a hot cup of herbal tea. I have truly enjoyed every session and will likely keep this one close at hand, along with a good book, for quiet rainy mornings.

Who Should Try This Flavor

This is a citrus flavor, albeit a mild one, and citrus fans are likely to enjoy it. But the floral element will probably make this a good crossover flavor.
