Cut & Composition

Tonic Babylon is a “Made in America”, medium cut, extremely juicy tobacco. There are some moderately sized stems, some of which need to be plucked out to avoid any disruption in packing the bowl.

The Experience

Babylon started smoking almost immediately, within the first couple minutes. The richest flavor and smoke was available after about five minutes. This tobacco did produce a light head-buzz, though very experienced smokers are unlikely to notice. The session lasted about an hour and thirty minutes before the flavor and the smoke died out.

The Flavor

Babylon is a fairly common composition of sweet blueberry and mint. The flavor is similar to other popular offerings such as Starbuzz Blue Mist and Social Smoke’s Baja Blue. Tonic’s version, Babylon, outperforms Starbuzz’s Blue Mist in longevity, with the mint flavor lasting nearly the entire length of the session. Babylon also uses a bit more mint than other similar flavors.

The Insight

Tonic’s Babylon is tasty. The blueberry is rich and sweet. It’s definitely a crowd pleaser. However, it’s worth noting that Babylon’s flavor will ghost in your pipe like crazy. Be sure to clean your pipe and hose (provided it’s fully washable) regularly.

Who Should Try This Flavor

If you’re a fan of the currently available blueberry-mint flavors, you’ll almost certainly enjoy this one. If you’re planning a hookah-party, Babylon will be a great choice.
