Sahara Smoke was kind enough to send us this herbal shisha for free to try it out and share our opinions. We always make every effort to review honestly regardless of what means were used to acquire the product. Evolution Tea is available directly from Sahara Smoke for $19.95 in a 250g jar.

Cut & Composition

Evolution Tea Pina Colada is made of tea leaves instead of tobacco. The cut is wide and clumpy, unlike Hookah-Hookah tobacco which is shredded into long strings. Kiwi is very wet and slimy, likely as a result of increased molasses, honey or some similar ingredient.

The Experience

Evolution Tea Pina Colada took about 15 minutes before the smoke and flavor really reached their full potential. The smoke was impressive for an herbal shisha, and this particular flavor seemed a bit more resilient to heat than others from the same brand. The session lasted about an hour and 10 minutes.

The Flavor

Evolution Tea’s Pina Colada tastes like the real virgin beverage by the same name. It is sweet, and refreshing, with a distinct coconut flavor. There are also some very subtle tea flavors underneath it all, which are actually a welcome addition, leaving a nice calming sensation.

The Insight

Pina Colada is actually the first herbal shisha I’ve tried that seems to rival the smoke ability of traditional tobacco. The smoke and flavor seemed to have a more satisfying equilibrium, producing thick smoke and great flavor.

Who Should Try This Flavor

This is the first in Evolution Tea’s line that I would recommend right along side traditional tobacco. If you’re a fan of coconut flavors, this one is worth a try.
