Cut & Composition

JM’s Fuzzy Navel is a very fine cut, medium wet tobacco, though it is more oily than slimy. When mixed well, the juices will leave your fingers good and sticky. There are a few small stems mixed amongst the tobacco, though nothing that will get in the way of packing your bowl.

Price & Quantities Available

  • 100g – $8.50
  • 250g – $14.50

The Experience

Fuzzy Navel began smoking almost immediately. The fullest flavor and smoke came after about five minutes of smoking. Fuzzy Navel was more resilient to heat than other JM’s Hookah flavors, with the taste remaining consistent throughout average changes in heat. For the duration of the session, which lasted about an hour and thirty minutes, the smoke was surprisingly dense.

The Flavor

Fuzzy Navel, which outside of the hookah world, is a mixed drink made from peach schnapps and orange juice. Having never actually had one of these drinks in real life, it’s difficult to say just how accurate the tobacco is to the real thing. But dissecting the flavor for what it is, there is a very strong, sweet and tangy orange flavor. In fact, the overall taste is very similar to the orange drink Tang. But, inspecting closely, you can also pick up subtle notes of peach. Regardless of whether it tastes like the beverage or not, the flavor is mouthwatering and delicious.

The Insight

Fuzzy Navel clearly an orange flavored tobacco, but unique in a variety of ambiguous ways. When packing the bowl, people passing by almost always comment on how good it smells and the same can be said for those who actually get to smoke it. It’s just a very easy flavor to enjoy.

Who Should Try This Flavor

Citrus fans, JM’s just might be your best friend. Though this flavor is strong, it’s also delicate in a way. Because it’s not just some kind of a shotgun attempt at an orange flavor, people with a taste for finer tobacco may really enjoy this—even if they’re not a fan of orange flavors from companies like Al Fakher.
