Cut & Composition

Hookah-Hookah Almond is a long stringy cut. Something much like roll-your-own cigarette tobacco. There are no stems to be found. The tobacco is wet, but more oily than other brands. It will leave your fingers wet but not slimy.

The Experience

Almond, like most Hookah-Hookah tobacco began smoking almost immediately, and brought the flavor along with it. The smoke was adequately thick, and only began to thin just before the session, which lasted just about an hour and 15 minutes, ended. The flavor remained fairly consistent and resilient to minor changes in heat.

The Flavor

Almond is sweet, bright and nutty. Though it’s much more of a caricature of the real thing. It’s flavor is relatively  mild with an unobtrusive hint of something floral. Overall, the taste is very much what you might expect from an almond flavored tobacco.

The Insight

Almond seems to occupy an interesting position, between sweet and spicy. Though it seems to belong to neither category. So far, no one who has shared a bowl of Almond flavor with me has been able to name the flavor without being told. Though that’s not to say it’s unpleasant. It’s an interesting flavor that I have enjoyed smoking, though it’s not something that will find it’s way into my regular rotation.

Who Should Try This Flavor

Explorers! As I mentioned, Almond doesn’t seem to fit well into any common category, so imagining what type of smoker is likely to enjoy it is challenging. I’d recommend those who are interested in the unconventional. It’s a tasty flavor and those adventurous types may find a pleasant surprise here.
