Cut & Composition

Al Tawareg is a fine cut tobacco which, thanks to a honey composition, is extremely sticky. You’ll want to break it apart in a kitchen bowl before packing it into your hookah bowl. Al Tawareg uses honey in greater proportions than other similar tobacco brands. You should not be surprised if your used tobacco is more difficult to clean out of the bowl when you’re done smoking.

The Experience

Al Tawareg’s Citrus Mint began smoking in the first ten minutes. Within 15 minutes, the smoke and flavor had reached its richest. The smoke was sufficient, but not especially impressive. The flavor was more resilient to minor changes in heat than other Al Tawareg flavors. The session lasted about an hour and thirty minutes before the smoke and flavor dropped off sharply.

The Flavor

Citrus Mint is simply as the name describes, though the citrus is not a medley, but a basic lemon. Unlike some lemon flavors, Al Tawareg’s lemon is more tart and realistic, rather than a candy-sweet. The mint is mild, but clearly present.

The Insight

Al Tawareg’s Citrus Mint is enjoyable, but not great. On the plus side, it’s not a chemical sensation as some lemon flavors are. At $2.50, customers could likely consider the cheaper Al Fakher alternative, Lemon Mint for a similar experience.

Who Should Try This Flavor

If you already know you enjoy Lemon flavors, this one will not disappoint, but smoker’s shouldn’t expect anything particularly special here.
