Cut & Composition

Hookah-Freak Half Baked, unlike the majority of other Sahara Smoke products, is medium-fine cut, similar to other popular brands. The composition is still very wet, but not sticky—and dyed a dark green color. Smokers should not expect to find very many, if any, stems amongst the tobacco.

Price & Quantities Available

The Experience

Half Baked began smoking within the first five minutes. Within ten minutes the smoke and flavor were their richest. Half Baked will smoke the most predictably from Sahara Smoke’s own Vortex Bowl. But regardless of the bowl, the flavor is much more sensitive to heat than many other brands. Too much heat will sap the flavor and leave you smoking just plain old tobacco. With proper heat management, Half Baked smoked for about an hour and twenty minutes before the flavor and smoke dropped off sharply.

The Flavor

Half Baked is, in short, peanut butter cookies in smoke form. Analyzing the flavor more carefully suggests that it’s likely a combination of peanutbutter and vanilla, with some additional sweetness added to it. The flavor is strikingly realistic and downright enjoyable. A keen sense of taste will also reveal the subtle undertones of the natural tobacco flavor.

The Insight

Half Baked, while delicious, may be difficult for novice smokers to enjoy because the flavor can be so easily destroyed. However, with practice, this flavor can also be a wonderful dessert smoke that many smokers are likely to enjoy.

Who Should Try This Flavor

Experienced smokers with an affinity for unconventional flavors will probably really enjoy this one. The flavor is surprisingly realistic, and since it’s a tobacco rendition of something most of us would probably consume in copious amounts, it’s easy to enjoy for the entire session without growing weary.
