Rating

[Rating:3.5/5]

Based on: Flavor: 3/5, Smoke:4/5, Resilience: 4/5, Longevity: 4/5

Cut & Composition

JM’s Chocolate is a fine cut, medium wet tobacco, though it is more oily than slimy. When mixed well, the juices will leave your fingers good and sticky. There are a few small stems mixed amongst the tobacco, though nothing that will get in the way of packing your bowl.

Price & Quantities Available

  • 100g – $8.50
  • 250g – $14.50

The Experience

JM’s Chocolate started smoking almost immediately from the HJ Alien Phunnel Bowl. The smoke and flavor were the richest after about 5 minutes of smoking. The flavor and the aroma are nearly identical. The session lasted about an hour and twenty minutes before the smoke and flavor dropped off sharply. JM’s Chocolate produced no head-buzz whatsoever.

The Flavor

Chocolate, while better than most, is still a far cry from what you might think when you hear ‘chocolate’. Rather than tasting like a milk-chocolate candy bar, the flavor is mild and closer to regular cocoa, lightly sweetened. It also has a similar ‘ashy’ taste found in a chocolate diet drink.

The Insight

If you like Slim Fast chocolate shakes, you’ll love JM’s Chocolate. Don’t expect candy-chocolate. All of that been said, I find JM’s chocolate to be an excellent way of introducing chocolate flavors into mixes. For example, you might try mixing JM’s Chocolate with mint or orange flavors.

Who Should Try This Flavor

If you know that you enjoy other chocolate hookah flavors, you’ll almost certainly enjoy this one. Spice fans may also find this one enjoyable since it’s probably closer to the spice flavors than anything else. Others, tread with caution.
