Cut & Composition

Social Smoke Watermelon is a medium cut, slimy tobacco with a few small stems, none of which have been found disruptive to the packing process.

The Experience

Watermelon began producing smoke almost instantly. The smoke and flavor were rich within the first five minutes. The flavor and the scent of the tobacco are nearly identical, however, tobacco in the bowl will produce a strange buttery flavor in the room. The tobacco produced no head-buzz whatsoever. The session lasted about an hour and twenty minutes before the smoke began thinning.

The Flavor

Watermelon is Social Smoke’s stab at a flavor that almost every brand in the market tries. Social Smoke’s version is lighter, crisper and more refreshing than many competitors, however it still remains a very sweet candy caricature of the real thing. Imagine a slightly more realistic version of Bubbleyum chewing gum, but in tobacco form.

The Insight

I have never been especially impressed with any watermelon flavor on the market. They’re usually too sweet and painfully unrealistic. Social Smoke’s version, while better than most, still isn’t quite there yet for me. But it has proven a party favorite, meaning almost any social guru may want to keep this one around.

Who Should Try This Flavor

Watermelon fans. It’s difficult to imagine who this flavor caters to best, but I would say, with some confidence that this flavor will likely be well accepted by fans of other watermelon flavors on the market.
