Fusion Chocolate Mint

Authored by William on 19 August 2010 No Comment

Cut & Composition

Fusion Chocolate Mint is a medium short cut tobacco. While it is moist, it is dryer than many other premium tobacco brands. There are a few stems mixed amongst the tobacco, but none that will disrupt the packing of your bowl.

The Set-Up

Fusion Chocolate Mint was smoked using many different bowl and hookah combinations. Most recently, for the purpose of review, it was smoked from a clean Al Fakher Large Solid and an HJ Alien mini phunnel bowl.

The Experience

Chocolate Mint began producing smoke from the very first pull. With the two subsequent pulls, the flavor was apparent. The smoke and flavor were thick and rich within five minutes. Fusion Tobacco is a bit more resilient to heat than many other brands, therefore a total of three Coconara coals were used throughout the session. The session lasted roughly an hour and twenty minutes. After about an hour, the mint sensation began to fade.

The Flavor

Chocolate Mint is, in a word, unbelievable. While there are many Chocolate Mint flavors on the market, none has managed to capture my attention like Fusion’s attempt. The flavor, and the aroma, are exactly as the title suggests—chocolate mint. The mint, while distinct, is not overpowering. It won’t clear your sinuses. And the chocolate is a sweet, chocolate cake flavor. Unlike other brands where the chocolate flavor is more like a protein shake, Fusions chocolate is much more realistic.

The Insight

Fusion Chocolate Mint is among the most smokeable flavors of its kind. The cut and wetness of the tobacco actually lend to an easier packing experience and the resilience of the tobacco to heat makes it extremely easy to manage the heat, so the bowl requires very little attention during smoking. Just set up and enjoy. Fusion make an excellent tobacco for beginners.

Who Should Try This Flavor

Mint and spice flavor fans will probably love this one. I know there are quite a few who love the chocolate mint flavors, and if that’s you, this is a must try tobacco.
